What else can we say about this project, after the gargantuan collaborations from the first EP everyone was waiting with baited breath in anticipation for the next instalment, well its finally here and it certainly meets expectations . The concept of the album is BK bringing together the brightest lights & talents emerging fast from the Hard Dance scene, artists that in Ben’s eyes are pushing the boundaries & bringing a fresh injection of exciting music & energy. They are the ‘New Wave’… BK & ALEX KIDD – ‘POISON’ - To get us off to a flyer Ben teams up once more with the mighty ‘Alex Kidd’, Poison is a belter in every sense of the word. A stomping marching style groove with distorted synth stabs & tight loops gets you in the zone, the boys have also followed on from the vocal vibe on last collaboration ‘Suicide’ by using the same vocalist & style to get some of that cool 80’s sound. Add into this some thrashing Prodigy style breakbeats and there can surly be only one outcome … Dancefloor annihilation BK & SAM TOWNEND – ‘ALLNIGHT’ - Something that has left a bit of a void in the Hard Dance community in the last few years is quality diva style house vocals with that ‘get up & go for it’ party vibe, we can safely say this ticks all those boxes & more with a simply stunning vocal anthem that gets better on every listen and is bound to stick in your head for ages. The vocal is the star of the show but the arrangement is well done and choice of sound equally superb, the track oozes class and injects you with the fun factor at the same time, with massive crossover potential, could this go on to bigger things? We want more… BK – ‘NOISE MACHINE’ -Ben goes solo only once on the album & does it disappoint? Does it F***! With a more European vibe ‘Noise Machine’ injects the filth and is going to be perfect peak time festival tackle for 2008. rolling tech beats and twisted saw basslines are the flavour, expertly set off by clever fills with a massive uplifting Trance lead in the breakdown – need we say more, yet another track of the highest order from Ben & one of the favourites at the Riot! & Traffic office
